How to Adjust Transitions in Windows Movie Maker

Change the style of a transition

1. Select "TRANSITIONS" above the browser, and browse transitions to find the new transition you want to use.

2. Drag the new transition to the transition icon where you want to replace the original one in the timeline.

Move a transition

Drag the transition between any two clips and it will automatically replace the previous transition.

Change the duration of a transition

1. In the timeline, double-click the transition you want to change, or select the transition and click "Edit" icon.

2. In the transition controls, you can set a new second yourself.

3. Click "Return" to apply the duration.


Change  the duration of  all transitions

1. In the timeline, double-click the transition you want to change, or select the transition and click "Edit" icon.

3. Click "Apply to all" to apply the duration of all transitions.

Change all transitions in your movie

  1. In the transiton browser, select a transition you want to use.

  2. Right-click the transition and select "Add to All".
